Our name, Heyra, is drawn from an Old Scandinavian word that means both “to listen” and “to hear.” This duality is central to our artistic practice, representing the active, deep listening required to find sound and the final, immersive experience of what is heard.

Her focus has since shifted to the experimental electronic genre, where she explores the musical potential of everyday sounds. In Heyra, she is the primary creative force, transforming unique field recordings into the duo’s immersive soundscapes.
Andrey Poltanov
Andrey Poltanov is an engineer whose main hobby has always been music. He brings a deep technical knowledge to the duo, focusing on high-quality recording and sound design. In Heyra, Andrey is responsible for ensuring their creative vision is captured with precision, making sure every detail is heard exactly as it was meant to be.
